Rachel died from her wounds and Craig, though seriously wounded, survived. Following Friday's tragedy in Newtown, CT, the e-mail forwarders went to work. An e-mail chain is now working its way along the Internet superhighway telling readers about Darrell Scott's testimony. before a special session of Congress. The e-mail claims that Mr. Scott testified before a special session of Congress and he testified anywhere from 11 years after Columbine to as recently as last Thursday. Mr. Scott spoke before a House subcommittee in May 1999, not a special session of Congress. Here is the transcript of his testimony. And his testimony is powerful on its own without the e-mail forwarders' adding "facts." Other than the quotes from his testimony, the e-mail is misinformation.
