Just because it comes by e-mail, doesn't mean it's true!
Darrell Scott is the father of Rachel and Craig who were at Columbine High School in April 1999. Rachel died from her wounds and Craig, though seriously wounded, survived. Following Friday's tragedy in Newtown, CT, the e-mail forwarders went to work. An e-mail chain is now working its way along the Internet superhighway telling readers about Darrell Scott's testimony. before a special session of Congress. The e-mail claims that Mr. Scott testified before a special session of Congress and he testified anywhere from 11 years after Columbine to as recently as last Thursday. Mr. Scott spoke before a House subcommittee in May 1999, not a special session of Congress. Here is the transcript of his testimony. And his testimony is powerful on its own without the e-mail forwarders' adding "facts." Other than the quotes from his testimony, the e-mail is misinformation.
