What the media are missing!

It comes as no surprise that many in the media side with the terrorists in Gaza, or at the very least are sympathetic to the terrorists. This is seen in the media's comparing the number killed in Gaza (ostensibly by Israelis) to the smaller number of Israelis killed by the terrorists. Last night, one member of the media said that because the number of Israelis killed is significantly less than the number of persons killed in Gaza, Israel's response was not "proportional." I'm no military strategist, but I thought that was how wars are won!
What is being missed? Two things: (1)  Israel doesn't start these things. Israel's enemies do and then they are ready for a ceasefire once Israel pounces on them; (2) Iran and the terrorists attack God when they raise their hands against the Israelis. Before you brand me with an "N" for "nut," consider that I am in good company.
In his biography of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Eric Metaxas tells us that during Kristallnacht in November 1938, Bonhoeffer was reading and meditating on Psalm 74. When he read the second half of verse 8 ("They have burned all of God's houses in the land.") he knew that God was speaking to him through His word. And "[t]he Nazis were attacking God by attacking His people." Today's media would not be very charitable to Bonhoeffer or his view. But, if anything, that only gives strength to this view. Hitler, except in the eyes of a very few perceptive individuals, was popular before he was discovered to be a murderous megalomaniac.
For example, Neville "Peace in our time" Chamberlain was quite the celebrated figure before he too-late realized Hitler's word was good until Hitler decided his world-domination goal was best served by doing other than he promised. Likewise, today's ceasefire will remain in place until Hamas, Iran, the Muslim Brotherhood or Egypt, who can tell the difference? decide it is no longer of any use to them; then they will return to killing Israelis. And the media and America's liberal foreign policy establishment will--reminiscent of Captain Renault's shock upon learning of gambling in Rick's--be shocked to discover that the barbarians have returned to their murderous ways.
In the parenthetical I used "ostensibly because the deaths in Gaza are the result of the terrorists' cowardly tactic of hiding themselves, their weapons, and their bomb-making material in hospitals, schools, homes, etc. and daring Israel to do something about it.
America should let Israel take care of the security of its citizens. Simply put, it is none of our business. Israel is not a threat to the U.S. But the barbarians who seek to destroy Israel are!
